Early Assessment Program (EAP)
What is the EAP?
The Early Assessment Program (EAP) is a voluntary test administered to all Juniors through the California Standards Tests (STAR) program that will help you determine if your English and Math skills are on target to succeed at the California State Universities (CSU). By completing the EAP items on the English and Mathematics California Standards Tests, you will be able to do the following:
- Skip the required CSU English and/or mathematics placement tests
- Identify the need for additional preparation to succeed at the CSU while still enrolled in high school
- Adjust your senior-year coursework to prepare for the CSU
- Avoid spending time and money in college remediation courses that do not count toward a bachelor’s degree
